La Passione 2011

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

La Passione is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, a new designation of excellence of Chianti Classico.

In order to have this classification, the wine must have certain organoleptic qualities and pass a taste test by the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium. This Consortium authorizes the placing of the wine on the market after an aging of 30 months, of which three matured in the bottle.

La Passione 2011 has an alcohol level of 14%, acidity reaches about 6.0 g / l and has an extract of 32.1 g / l.

It is a pure Sangiovese, aged in 225l French oak barrels for 37 months.

The production, which was bottled in February 2015, consists of just 300 bottles and this is why La Passione can be considered a rarity in the world of wine.

La Passione has received many awards:
– Falstaff Wine Tasting 91/100 points
– Vinum Wine Tasting 16,5/20 points
– Gilbert & Gaillard Wine Tasting 88/100 points
– Meiningers Weintest “Very good”
– Merano Wine Award
– Gold medal Asia Wine Trophy.

The wine has a ruby-red colour with intense garnet shades. Fruit tones, such as blackberry and raspberry predominate its fragrance. The wine, of great structure, is harmonious, fine and persistent on the palate.
